Activist and political commentator Deji Adeyanju has publicly thanked former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Labour Party leader Peter Obi, and activist Omoyele Sowore for their roles in securing the release of social media influencer VeryDarkMan from the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Adeyanju praised the trio for standing up for justice and lending their voices to the growing demand for VeryDarkMan’s freedom. He described their intervention as a powerful show of unity across political divides in defense of civil liberties and free speech.

VeryDarkMan, who was held over allegations related to his outspoken online activism, was released following mounting public pressure and widespread social media campaigns. His detention sparked criticism from rights groups and public figures who accused the EFCC of targeting dissenting voices.
