Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. Follows in Father's Footsteps with Portugal U15 Debut
Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., the 14-year-old son of football legend Cristiano Ronaldo, made his debut for Portugal's Under-15 national team in a 4-1 victory over Japan at the Vlatko Markovic International Tournament in Croatia. Entering the match in the 54th minute, Ronaldo Jr. donned the iconic No. 7 jersey, mirroring his father's early career.
The young forward, currently part of Al Nassr's academy, showcased glimpses of his potential during his 26-minute appearance as a left winger. While he didn't find the back of the net, his presence on the field was a proud moment for the Ronaldo family. His grandmother, Maria Dolores, attended the match, wearing her son's 2010 World Cup shirt, and his father expressed his pride on social media, stating, "Congratulations on your debut by @selecaoportugal, son. Very proud of you!"
The match's standout performer was Braga's Rafael Cabral, who netted a hat-trick, with Henrique Amen adding another goal for Portugal.
Ronaldo Jr.'s debut has garnered attention from major European clubs, including Manchester United, Tottenham, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, and Juventus, all of whom had scouts present at the match.
As Portugal progresses in the tournament, with upcoming matches against Greece and England, all eyes will be on the young talents, especially Ronaldo Jr., as they aim to make their mark on the international stage.
